| Three container sizes are available for all your trash, organic and yard waste needs (35, 64, and 96 gallon carts.) You may also use your own container for a $1.00 a month discount off your bill. For households requiring an extra cart the cost is just $5.50 per month any size cart. Vintage Waste Systems, Inc. will remove your trash from your requested location for no additional cost. We offer carry-out (100ft. or less), curb-side pick-up, garage or garage-side pick-up and drive-up services with our driveway friendly pick-ups. We offer discounts to Seniors (55+) and/or Veterans. We also have discounted rates for Home-Owners Associations, Private roads, Town homes, etc. please feel free to call with questions regarding these rates.
Here at Vintage Waste we are very proud to offer Organics Collection, with this service you receive a 35 gallon cart to fill with your composable food waste. 64 gallon mixed yard waste and organics cart now available. We have combined the two programs for $9.50 per month (non-taxable). Please check out the details regarding Organic Recycling at our organics page. We prefer these carts to be placed curb-side but we will make exceptions for long, hilly driveways, private roads, persons who are handicapped, etc. This weekly service is offered for $5.50 a month. The average household reduces their trash by 25% volume. Please call with questions or for more details.
Yard Waste Program and Options
The season runs April 15th through November 30th each year.
Option 1: $5.50 per month billed year round. Vintage will accept up to 12 bags and or bundles per week. You can use your own cans.
Option 2: $6.50 per month billed year round. Vintage will provide a 65 gallon cart and you may place 12 additional bags and or bundles out every week.
Option 3: $9.50 per month billed year round. Mixed organic and yard waste plan. Vintage will provide a 64 gallon combo cart and you are allowed 15 addition bags and or bundles per week. This program is one of a kind for Hennepin County right now.
Option 4: $2.50 per bag/can or bundle billed to your account. Just place out with your trash, no need to call ahead.
Option 5: Use your communities drop site, contact your local people for dates and cost. Many offer free services.
Tips and regulations:
No plastic bags are accepted with our compost plans at Vintage. Hennepin County has placed a ban on the use of plastic bags and yard waste that is in effect January 1st 2010. Vintage banned plastic in April 2009 and took this ban to our advantage by combining our yard waste and organic route. The end result is we recycle what you provide us 100%, we save labor, fuel and are cutting edge with our competition. All haulers will have to follow the no plastic guidelines next year and all Vintage customers are already trained. You can use bio-degradable bags, paper leaf and lawn 40 gallon available everywhere, your own cans, our provided cart, re-useable leaf canvas bags, etc. No dirt, sod, rocks are accepted as compost. Please keep the carts under 200 pounds and the bags under 40 pounds. All above programs are non-taxed and you are helping the environment.
