Q. What if I forgot to put out my items on time and the driver has gone by?
A. Vintage asks you to have items are ready for collection by 6:00am on your normal day. If you have missed us, please place your extra items out the following week... no credit is issued.
If you can not wait until the following week, there is a $25.00 return fee to get the truck and driver back for collection. If you see the truck go by, call us right away and we’ll do our best to have the truck swing back. If for some reason we miss you, Vintage will return at no charge for your collection.
The point to remember is our routes continue to grow and new routes are being created each year. Due to our growth, normal route times change on occasion requiring a 6:00am collection standard. Thanks you for your cooperation in these matters.
Q. How does the referral program work?

Any person that gets a private road or association to switch 100% to Vintage Waste will also receive a street bonus in which all active accounts on that street will benefit from.
Q. Why did you start Vintage Waste Systems and how did you choose your name?
A. Corey and Bill Metcalf bring over 57+ combined years of experience in this industry. We both worked for one of the large competitors and had discussed for years starting our own operation. The garbage business is a safe business because everyone produces waste and it will always be here. We choose the Vintage name because while all of our competitors are moving towards automated collection we are trending back to the service of the old days. Our service is the way things used to be and we will bring that option back to you. Personal service, carts returned neat, someone who has time to say hello and etc. Vintage Waste now employ’s 6 full time people. Our team has over 100+ years of combined trash hauling experience. From top to bottom, you can expect first class service from Vintage.
Q. When I call with a question will I placed on hold?
A. We have 2 full time people answering phones M-F 6:30am until 4:00pm. A live person will answer your call to help and the owners are available every day to assist with any problem you may have with your collection service. If for any reason your call is not answered, you will be sent to voice-mail which is checked first thing each day.
Q. How often will I receive a bill for service?
A. All residential accounts are pre-billed each quarter. No refunds are given unless you move outside of the Vintage service area. Vintage sends out invoices on the first of the month. The balance is due by the 20th with a $7.00 per month fee is imposed for a late payment. Any invoice 45 days past due will result in the suspension of service. Service will not resume until entire balance is paid.
Invoices over 90 days past due will be sent to collection and our cart will be retrieved. If we can not retrieve our cart, you will be invoiced $75.00 in addition to the past due amount.
Customers who are under contract (quarterly customers) will be invoiced each month until the contract is satisfied. If you are part of our yearly invoice group, no refunds are made unless you move out of the Vintage service area. Vintage will not refund if you choose to switch haulers during this time. Commercial accounts are invoiced each month and are also due by the 20th.
Q. What things are your company doing to be "Green" and help the environment?
A. All of our trash carts are made from recycled plastics (Eco-cart made from the Cascade Company) and are organic carts are used and reconditioned 35 gallon containers saved from the landfill. The Organic recycling program has been a huge success with one quarter of our clients signed on to date. All of our Waste is sent to Hennepin County and is used to make energy, the large companies send most of theirs to the landfills. The winter months organics collection is run every-other-week to conserve fuel and labor. When the compost season returns in April, the weekly pick-up service will resume.
Q. Is Vintage Waste building up the company quick to make a sale.
Is the company already for sale? Is the company not doing well?
A. NO. In the last 3 years of operation we’ve heard everything imaginable from our competition beginning with rumors of an acquisition.
We have built our company from ZERO accounts with the owners putting a lot on the line to serve you. Vintage is not for sale and the owners have no plans to put in on the market. At Vintage, we have worked together to exceed our business plan model year after year and have more exciting moves in the coming weeks/months.
We continue to honor each and every customer as we have since day one. We do not raise our prices throughout the year, like our competitors. We lock our prices to you 1 year at a time, as promised. Our competition tries to match our prices and continues to tell our potential clients that we can not operate at our current rates. Our competition doesn’t mention one key element... Vintage Waste does not have the overhead they do.
Vintage Waste is a small family hauler in a league of its own. Fact: our top 3 competitors are multi-million/billion dollar corporations with high overhead.
Our prices are fair and we have no plans of being a large corporation. If you want a company to represent you locally, providing the best service available with custom service options, choose Vintage Waste. In these tough economic times people are looking for better prices, better service and values. Vintage Waste has done what we promised to do, are improving daily and look forward to your business.
